*The 2nd Annual Golf Tournament is only a short time away. We are seeking sponsors and looking forward to a full tournament this year. See Ad. VP / Chairman will be going before the Tourism Board for assistance. By receiving funding from tourism we can then multiply it and give a better return for office expenditures.

*Summit nomination forms went out mid August and are due back Aug. 31.

*There has been a string of bad checks again. Check Bank for current information if you have any question. Closed accounts are fraudulent and the business looses. See Ad.

*Michele attended the State Chamber Conference the 26 & 27. So much to learn and make work in our community

*Brandon Smith will be putting a committee together planning of an ATV event for April of 2005. We will need to get enthusiasts helping out with the event.

*Tourism needed help with

the new look of the place mats. New pictures and information was recommended. For Discovering M.C. Publication - call Millard Publishing for restocking 864-4050

Drug Free Workplace

For employees, the consequences of drug abuse can be tragic not only for users and their families, but also for co-workers and customers who are put in jeopardy by others’ illicit use of drugs. Moreover, beyond the physical dangers, employees jobs maybe jeopardized if a company’s profitability is undermined by the poor performance, mistakes and accidents of drug abusers.
For employers, the consequences of drug abuse can be highly detrimental. If American companies are to remain competitive in an increasingly global economy, they must strive to maintain a work force that is free from drub abuse.
It is appropriate that employers require that their employees be drug-free and establish a policy whereby e employees who engage in illegal behavior regarding drug abuse be held accountable for their actions.
Drug-education and drug-awareness programs also are highly appropriate and critically important to employers overall efforts to prevent dug abuse in the workplace and protect their workers.

PC Tips
www.pcworld.com
1. Keep your PC in a smoke-free environment.
2. Leave your PC running.
3. Don’t leave your monitor running.
4. Avoid jostling the PC.
Your PC’s two mortal enemies are heat and moisture. Grime, especially residue of cigarette smoke, can corrode exposed metal contacts. If your PC resides in a relatively clean, climate-controlled environment, an annual cleaning should be sufficient. The case, inside and out, mouse, keyboard, monitor, power protection and swipe your CD and DVD media. Do periodical hardware diagnostic checks. Defragment, up-date Windows, Antivirus up-dates and prevent unused software from automatically starting at power up. Weekly / Monthly **Before you call the Doctor

Meetings are held 2nd Tuesdays. Sponsors and more committee members are always a welcome addition.
