This is a fund-raiser event for Taylon Moody, who was seriously injured
in a car accident. All money raised is
being donated to the Moody family to help with the expenses from Taylon’s

Millard Scholarship Pageant, 7:00 pm, Millard High School Auditorium, 35
North 200 West, Fillmore. Join us and
experience a fun, glamorous, and exciting evening of pageantry at its best.
Miss Millard competition is judged on an interview with the judges, swim wear,
talent, evening-wear, and a 2-question on-stage interview. Young girls ages 6-9 also compete in a fun
and adorable Little Miss Millard pageant. During the evening’s program, one of
these young contestants is chosen to serve as Little Miss Millard. For more information or if you are interested

in Motion, Conference for Women About Women, Delta High School, 50
West 300 North, Delta. Come join us at
the best thing to happen in Central Utah since sliced bread. This conference is a day filled with
learning, food and fun. A day for women
of all ages to have a time-out from daily stress and responsibility and have
time just for themselves. Women in
Motion is a conference designed to assist women in finding joy and fulfillment
in their busy lives. Conference speakers
are experts on their varied subjects and come highly recommended to the
conference. Subjects range from women’s

Greathouse Fox 5k Tribute Run, 9:00 am, McCornick Utah (between Delta &
Fillmore). This fun run is to raise
money for a scholarship fund to be set up for Delta and Millard High School
students in memory of Deputy Josie Fox.

May 13-15 – Old School
Rock Crawling, Millard County Fairgrounds, Delta. Old fashioned rock crawling with Jeeps, 4x4
vehicles and trucks driving over large obstacles with the possibility of
roll-overs. Vehicles are scored by the
number of mistakes that are made by the driver and spotter (team) on the
courses. The team with the fewest mistakes wins. Three classes are available for teams: stock,
modified stock (legend) and unlimited.

May 29 – Demolition Derby,

Ave., Delta. Demolition Derby will help

June 1-3 – Millard County Junior Livestock Show,
Millard County Fairgrounds, 187 South Manzanita Ave., Delta. It’s the annual
show, which showcases 4-H and FFA projects in beef, swine, sheep and dairy with
3 days of showmanship, market classes and other contests. Tuesday is the Fitting & Showmanship Day,
where it’s the Exhibitor’s chance to show off their skills. Wednesday is Market Show, where the animals
are judged. Thursday is sale day, where
the animals are sold at auction.
Throughout the week there are various contests for everyone. Banquet on Thursday is open to anyone at a
cover charge. After the banquet there is

of the Old West Rodeo, Millard County
Fairgrounds, 187 South Manzanita Ave., Delta.
Rodeo
fans can enjoy a colorful PRCA event and cheer their favorite cowboys at the
Days of the Old West Rodeo. Top
contestants compete in steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, PWBR

National ATV Jamboree, Fillmore. Gather at the POD in Fillmore City with other
ATV enthusiasts for the annual ATV Jamboree. Guides offer approximately 30
different rides each day in the Pahvant Mountains, with experienced local
guides making stops along the way to describe history, geology, flora and
fauna. Participants will enjoy seeing
wild turkeys, elk and mule deer as you travel the Paiute ATV Trail and
experience some of the most spectacular scenery you can imagine. Pizza parties,
pot luck dinners and a progressive dinner in Chalk Creek Canyon are just some
of the activities planned during the week-long event. Cost is $100/person; $175/couple or

Society’s Relay for Life of Millard County, Delta High School
Football Field, 50 West 300 North, Delta.
This is a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have
survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease
that touches too many lives. Campsites
can be set up any time after noon on Friday, June 26. Entertainment starts at 5:00 pm and continues
throughout the night and into the morning.
Survivor walk begins at 6:00 pm, with dinner at approximately 7:00
pm. Hypnotist John Daughters’ show
starts at 10:00 pm. Silent auctions
close at midnight. Breakfast on Saturday
morning at approximately 7:00 am. Any

July 22-25 – TRILOBITEJAM, House Range near Delta. This is the world’s first on-site fossil
collecting festival. Those who attend
the Trilobite Jam will get to collect on 320 acres of State leased lands that
are controlled by the American Trilobite Suppliers for FOUR FULL DAYS. Patrons of the trilobite Jam will be able to
keep EVERYTHING they find. Even those who find an Olenoides superbus will get to

July 23-24 – Snake Valley
Festival, Baker, Nevada. The second annual
Snake Valley Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, July 23-24, 2010.
This fun-filled festival celebrates life in the valley that straddles Utah and
Nevada, with most of the events occurring in Baker, Nevada. Come join us
for food, games, booths, a parade, yard sale, film festival, barbeque, dance,
cowboy poetry and music, and an auction to raise money to help keep our rural
communities strong. Many events are free and for the entire family.

Fly-In, Delta Municipal Airport,
Delta. All ultralight, lightsport and
experimental aircraft are invited to Delta once a year for flying, food and
fun. Airplane games such as water balloon drops, candy drops and ultralight golf
(which involves dropping a golf ball from low level flight over a green at the
golf course) will be played as weather permits. Spectators are welcome to come
to the airport to look at the aircraft and watch some of the airplane games.
Admission is free for spectators. Raffle tickets are sold to help support the
next year's fly-in. Lots of prizes will be given away thanks to our sponsors.
Airplane rides can be purchased for a small fee (early morning and late

1946 when the town planned a homecoming celebration for World War II soldiers.
The celebration was held on Labor Day and consisted of a program in the
morning, a noon barbecue and a dance that night. The following year, the
veterans decided to give the party and it was again extremely successful and
continues to draw many back to their hometown.
The annual event is held at the Leamington Town Hall and Rodeo Grounds.
The traditional talent show, barbeque dinner, games and an evening rodeo
provide a fun time for residents and visitors.

Fillmore. Fine art, mountain man demonstrations, and
live entertainment are just a few of the attractions at the Old Capitol Arts
Festival. The fun-filled event takes
place at the Territorial Statehouse Park in Fillmore. A full agenda of activities fill the two-day
festival. The park is overflowing with artists' booths featuring original
artwork and crafts. A quick draw auction is a popular event, with the sale of
artwork created on the spot. Demonstrations of early pioneer skills keep
attendees captivated. Civil War reenactments and antique car and horse-drawn wagon
rides add to the fun. Exciting
entertainment takes place each afternoon. Continuous activities for children,
and a variety of food concessions ensure no one will want to miss any of the

statehood celebration at 7:30 p.m. with pioneer dance with instruction for the

Goose Festival, Gunnison Bend Reservoir, Delta. The Snow Goose Festival celebrates the
arrival of thousands of Lesser Snow Geese in the fields and waters between
Delta and Clear Lake Management Area.
Activities include trap shoot, free waterfowl workshops, a 5K/10K race,
craft vendors, quilt show and more.
