Leamarado Days in Leamington began in 1946 when the town planned a homecoming celebration for World War II soldiers. The celebration was held on Labor Day and consisted of a program in the morning, a noon barbecue and a dance that night. The following year, the veterans decided to give the party and it was again extremely successful and continues to draw many back to their hometown.
The annual event is held Labor Day at the Leamington Town Hall and Rodeo Grounds. The traditional talent show, barbeque dinner, games and an evening rodeo provides a fun time for residents and visitors.
